The Rural Youth Ambassador program was developed by the Country Education Partnership to provide young people in rural and remote communities with the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and provide a voice on rural and remote education to government and education sectors.
The Rural Youth Ambassador program, which began in Victoria ten years ago, is recognized nationally and internationally as an exceptional rural youth leadership and youth agency initiative. The program forms part of the national Rural Inspire initiative which aims to increase the aspirations of young people in rural and remote communities.
The Country Education Partnership and Aurora College invite rural NSW government schools to nominate appropriately skilled and interested Year 11 young people to be part of the inaugural 2020 NSW Rural Youth Ambassador program.
Nominations are open now and close on Friday 19 June 2020.
